A School for a Collapsing World
Support the seeding of Bioregional Regenerative Futures
Crowdfunding Campaign
Having obtained official accreditation with the Brazilian Ministry of Education + general school supplies through open calls for regenerative projects, we are currently seeking $195,000.00:

– $45,000.00 are to cover basic costs during our first year of operation in Early-childhood education (ages four to five). Approximately 80% of this amount is dedicated to personnel, with special attention to teachers compensation. With such costs covered, we will be able to offer full scholarships to all enrolled students.

– $150,000.00 are to be invested in the construction of a larger school space that can serve Elementary education (6- to 11-year-olds), starting in 2027. We are currently in dialogue with community members willing to donate the building site for the construction. Thus, the financial support will be directed towards labor and materials to create a space that better integrates with our pedagogical principles and practices. To meet the time window for regulatory facilities inspection, the construction has to be ready by June 2026.
You can contribute to this mission in different ways through this Crowdfunding Campaign. The interactive form that you see (below👇🏽📱or on the right side of your screen 👉🏽💻) provides a quick and secure way to make financial contributions to Terra Escola.
You can choose between suggested amounts or set how much you want to donate—both for recurring contributions (monthly) and one-time contributions (once). You can also opt to cover the transaction’s operating fees (which range from 2.5% to 7% of the selected amount). Otherwise, the fees are deducted from the amount offered.
By contributing to the campaign, you will receive news and exclusive reports on our work, as well as being eligible to win special prizes produced during Terra Escola’s educational activities.

Marumbi River, a Sentient Master

A key innovation element in our pedagogy is the understanding that we have a lot to learn from the beyond-human entities around us. And we are lucky to be embraced by the Marumbi Watershed:

Thus, advancing Sympoiesis’ Nature Avatars AI-inquiry, we are working towards the creation of a Marumbi River Avatar integrated with the school’s curriculum. As students interact with and learn about the Marumbi River and its surroundings (guided by watershed-grounded learning journeys), their insights and perceptive accounts shall flow into the avatar’s emerging intelligence.
Leveraging this placental belonging and the integration of remote sensing technologies, the Marumbi Avatar is also being conceived as an environmental monitoring tool that can document the local biodiversity and support climate adaptation strategies.
As such, our vision is that it will grow with the school and flow as the river, functioning as an innovative learning platform that ultimately enables students and community to engage with their entire bioregion more consciously and regeneratively.
